ONE MONTH TO GO (or, how we survived and loved the Marathon!)

ONE MONTH TO GO!

Dear JULY, we survived you: you and a fistful of bothersome, overlong weeks!!!!!!! You and your indissoluble deadlines and punchlines! :-D You, and your excesses and maddening circus!!  A bloated parliament of events, flaws and oddities!

Dear AUGUST, we’re so happy to have you, like the comforts of waking to sweet bed and breakfast after a rough, rainy evening…or the insulated view of people and their imperfect, random cadence from across a café and its Tony Bennett music…the serenity of a cedar log home impressed against the graying luster of the city…or the inspiring scent of roasted coffee and hazelnut overturning the bland/tussles of everyotherday…

Dear SEPTEMBER, you’re but several more cash withdrawals, headaches, and stories away.  But we’re EMBRACING this 31-day preparation and enjoying every bit of falling hair and spare change – wherever they may fall. :)

Clouds in our coffee, alright.  But our clichés and verses are happier and lovelier, with or without the extra whipped cream.

Sincerely yours,
Gab & Kat [aka ChocFrappe],3 Aug '11

PS: A flurry of rendezvous and events with friends and fam’ly got us through the Fates and Mercies of July; happily, I should add. We love them all ! :)
