They’re Finally, Finally OUT – Stop the Presses! Save the Date, Friends!!

The past couple of months, we’d been working our tails off to accomplish our first “output” of sorts – the SAVE THE DATE.  With much excitement and very little dillydallying, in fact, we finally started releasing the SVD last March 18 – much to the wide-eyed glee of our darling crowd and guests. Very cute and superbly-made coasters by Maita’s group from CREATIVE PRINTS, and useful, mid-sized Burlaps from PAPEMELROTI; the theme should be rather obvious by now, no?  But it always works for us, and seems to work for many others as well!! :-) Its also our semi-DIY project, which is always among the simplest, but most honest and rewarding elements at any wedding, in our opinion.  And it seems that we’ll be pushing through w/ other DIY ideas soon, time-willing!

The pictures will explain the rest.

...Like this picture, me, with a few choice tumblers from HK, USA & RP

So friends and family from all over, SAVE. THE. DATE.  Hope you’d keep the date free for us.  Because once you do, something should be coming your way in a few months.  And who knows, your name might just make the entourage.  :)

Our Mini-SVD Mugs for the world to see!

Made-to-order Burlaps from Papemelroti, a unique Starbucks mug from HK and glossy DIY cups from yours truly

Love Brews, just like warm Alamid coffee simmering over teakwood. Concepts by Chocfrappe, execution by Maita Quesada and her hip group, CREATIVE PRINTS.

“It started over coffee, we started out as friends...”

You’ve been told: Save the Date!! (superb coasters by Creative Prints – maita@creativetwo.com)

DIY Miniature Frappes (for the VIPs), and DIY Mini-Mugs (for everyone else) -- just the like the real thing. only made of glossy photo paper, and 1/10 the size. :)

...Because Kat knows her scissors well, and has impeccable, wee penmanship :)

Hmmm....what other DIY items should follow? Suggestions are very welcome, as long as they rock our theme :)

MARCHing Forward, 5-months to Go!!

Chillax moment at Centris
It’s been over a year since Gab & I started filling in the details of our wedding – it’s dreamy prosaicness evolving into lyrical form, stride and solid harmony.  Things that were only starting to shape up then, are, fortunately, in very good shape today! And while we admit that it hasn’t been all roses and strawberry daiquiris, the difficult, near-acrobatic act of balancing full-duty work, family, friends, “quality time,” and condominium affairs with the demands of matrimonial planning are keeping our four feet firmly planted a-ground. I guess things could be a lot easier had we only decided to be less “involved” as several people had advised, or to be less exacting/finicky in other aspects of the wedding that appear trivial to others. But it’s a decision we’ve embraced with much passion and energy the very first nanosecond we took it (or, rather, it took us) – and, like the road-less-traveled, it has made all the difference.  :)

Another productive evening with coffee
As we customarily enjoy our frappes with extra whipped cream, or with extra shots of hazelnut syrup, we want our Day to be extra special too –especially since you don’t aspire of having another attempt at marriage.  Coupled with my perfectionist, passive-aggressive tendencies sway (and Gab’s stream-of-consciousness thought bubbles), I’m pretty much constantly on top of what else needs to be accomplished, and making sure that every detail is well taken care of and accounted for.  And with God at the captain’s lodge downing a few of Gab’s homemade martinis, we want our event to be a blissful celebration of the many ephemeral things and truths we so hold dear.
